Employment Network

Donate Backpacks and School Supplies
We are collecting backpacks and school supplies again this year for the Boys & Girls Club, which gives them to our neighborhood students in need. Please pick up info at the tables in the lobby and bring school supplies back to the barrels in the lobby by Monday, August 21st. Thank you for supporting our neighborhood students in this way!


Father/Son Adventure Day
Sunday, August 27, from 2:00–5:00 pm at the Schilling’s Barn (7315 Labish Center Rd). Fathers, come experience an adventure day with your son. The day will include air guns, archery, knot tying, fly casting, water fun and more. Dinner will be provided, and there is no cost to attend this event. For more information, contact Annie at


Baptism Class
Sunday, August 27, from 2:00–3:30 pm in Cedar Annex. For anyone interested in being baptized at Salem Alliance, this class will prepare you for our next Baptism weekend on September 30/October 1. CMT Auditions
Thursday, August 31, from 5:00–6:30 pm in the Youth Center. CMT stands for Creative Ministries Team. It is designed to give students and adults an opportunity to be involved in leading others in worship. We recognize that worship is something beyond music and even the platform of church. Because of this, CMT explores worship through other mediums in the arts, while having a strong understanding that worshiping Jesus is something we can do all the time. Grief Support Groups

Run for Hope and Health
Saturday, September 16, at 9:00 am in Minto Brown Park. Join us for a run in the park and support Salem Free Clinics with this fundraising event. Apprentice Series - Expanding your Life with God
Beginning Saturday, September 16. The Apprentice Series is a thirty-plus weeks’ journey with others coming to believe, "I am one in whom God dwells and delights." With reading and soul training exercises from bestselling books, "The Good and Beautiful God" and "The Good and Beautiful Life," we discover that there is more to being a Christian, by becoming an Apprentice of the Master Teacher—Jesus Christ. Financial Peace University
Mondays, beginning September 18. Financial Peace University teaches God’s ways of handling money through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities. The Smart Stepfamily
Friday, September 22, from 7:00–9:00 pm and Saturday, September 23, from 9:00 am–12:30 pm. "The Smart Stepfamily" is an eight-part video series that offers applicable solutions for everyday living, practical tips for raising step kids and unique ways to strengthen a couple's marriage. Start Saving Your Change
On the weekend of September 23/24, we are going to take a change offering. This offering will go 100 percent towards supporting our C&MA Missionaries overseas through our Great Commission Fund.  This is a great way to get your entire family involved in missions throughout the summer as you collect your spare change and put it into a jar or container of your choice.  Start saving your change now and get ready for a great event in September!


Marriage Preparation Class
Wednesdays, beginning September 27, from 6:30–8:00 pm in the Russia Room, 307. This six-week class, designed for couples who are engaged or seriously dating, will cover a range of topics such as communication, conflict resolution, family of origin issues and spirituality as a couple.
