Soul Care Intensives
WHAT IS SOUL CARE?
Soul Care explores seven principles that are profound healing tools of God: securing your identity, repentance, breaking family sin patterns, forgiving others, healing wounds, overcoming fears, and deliverance. Life change is hard. But these principles, when packaged together and lived out, can lead to lasting transformation, freedom, and a healthy soul.
Consider joining us for Soul Care, beginning on Mondays, January 27 through May 5, 2025. We'll engage in large group teaching, discussion and application hosted by Laura Scharer and Josh Mann.
Cost: $20

Soul Care 1.0
A 14-week curriculum that will take you through Rob Reimer’s book, Soul Care. The workbook includes both discussion questions and application prompts.
- Soul Care for Women
- Soul Care for Men
- Soul Care for Men - an emphasis on support for unwanted sexual behavior
- Soul Care for Couples - This group is not intended to resolve serious marital problems. Instead, it provides a space where each person engages in personal soul care alongside their spouse in a supportive group setting. If you need help with significant marriage issues, please contact us. BOTH people will need to register individually when signing up.
Soul Care 2.0 (Soul Care 1.0 is a required prerequisite)
If you have already participated in Soul Care 1.0 and want to continue with some more specific and focused work, we are offering the following:
For Men:
- Unwanted Sexual Behavior: This is a 10-month track that begins with everybody in late January and continues to meet through mid-fall. We use the 7 Pillars of Freedom workbook to help uncover the roots of our behavior, experience healing and transformation, develop stronger connections and new tools for coping with pain, fear, and stress, learn to walk in sustained freedom and fulfill God’s redemptive purposes for our lives.
- Inner Healing: This group will explore personal healing and spiritual growth, while learning to better hear God's voice, using the book Listening and Inner Healing Prayer by Rusty Rustenbach.
- Shame: This group will work through a book by Edward Welch called Shame Interrupted. God cares for the shamed and through Jesus we can live lives that have been covered, adopted, cleansed, and healed.
- Spiritual Disciplines: This group will explore the writing of Richard Foster as well as utilize the Spiritual Disciplines Handbook by Adele Ahlberg Calhoun. As a group, we will discover and practice a variety of spiritual disciplines, including Fasting, Sabbath, and Celebration.
- Group Spiritual Direction: (Mixed Gender Group) We will continue the conversation started in Soul Care and intentionally notice the transformative work of God in us. Instead of focusing on a particular issue or problem, we will learn to look beneath the surface and ask good questions to pay attention to the slow, incremental work of Holy Spirit as he invites and nudges us to be more like Jesus. By meeting as a group, we can see together what we often miss on our own.
For Women:
- Inner Healing: This group will explore personal healing and spiritual growth, while learning to better hear God's voice, using the book Listening and Inner Healing Prayer by Rusty Rustenbach.
- Shame: Working through a book by Curt Thompson called The Soul of Shame, this group will unpack the nature and root cause of shame using a theological framework alongside practical tools necessary to dismantle shame.
- Spiritual Disciplines: This group will explore the writing of Richard Foster as well as utilize the Spiritual Disciplines Handbook by Adele Ahlberg Calhoun. As a group, we will discover and practice a variety of spiritual disciplines including Fasting, Sabbath, and Celebration.
- Group Spiritual Direction (Mixed gender group): We will continue the conversation started in Soul Care and intentionally notice the transformative work of God in us. Instead of focusing on a particular issue or problem, we will learn to look beneath the surface and ask good questions to pay attention to the slow, incremental work of Holy Spirit as he invites and nudges us to be more like Jesus.
