Refugee Ministry Support
Doug and Anya Holcomb are serving refugees in Salem, OR. Their sending organization is Salem Alliance Church, and they are on Special Assignment with Compassion & Mercy Associates (the relief & development arm of the Christian & Missionary Alliance).
Doug and Anya's ministry vision is to see refugees, churches and the community engage in mutually transformative relationships that draw people to Jesus. As they work with refugees, their goals are to mobilize the city, equip the church and inspire a movement. They seek to mobilize the city of Salem to be a place where refugees can thrive because of a holistic and coordinated effort to welcome our global neighbors. They founded an organization called Salem For Refugees that has become a refugee resettlement agency that brings people and resources together to empower refugees to thrive. Doug and Anya seek to equip the church by leading a weekly International Prayer Gathering, and mobilizing local churches to be at the forefront of caring for refugees, building long-term friendships and sharing God’s story with them. They seek to inspire a movement by connecting with churches and organizations across the country to inspire others to reach out to refugees in their communities.
Doug and Anya’s role is completely support-based through the financial giving of those God has called to partner with them through donations to the Holcomb Support Fund at Salem Alliance Church. See below for instructions on how to give.
