Ministry Overview

International Justice Mission is a community of Jesus followers using investigative, legal, and aftercare expertise to rescue thousands, protect millions, and prove that justice for the poor is possible. As the world's leading anti-slavery organization, IJM conducts collaborative casework (with local government partners) and justice system transformation projects through its 17 field offices around the world.

Manila is the most densely populated of the world's largest urban areas, and more than one-third of its residents are materially poor living in slums.  IJM-Philippines is working to combat the online sexual exploitation of children. Brandon is assigned as a consultant to law enforcement units investigating human trafficking and child sexual abuse & exploitation.  Through the children's school, Erika is connecting with other missionaries serving in the area to support and encourage them in their ministries. Having just deployed in Summer 2016, this family is in the midst of transition.

Prayer Requests
Please pray for:

  • The family's transition to their new country, culture, climate, work, school, and relationships;
  • IJM's work in the Philippines and the many victims of trafficking, abuse, and exploitation in need of rescue, restoration, and justice;
  • The development of political will and resources within the government of the Philippines to engage well in the work against online sexual exploitation of children there; and
  • Government officials, victims, and perpetrators to see, hear, and respond to the Gospel through interactions with IJM.

Support Instructions
This family does not need to raise their own dedicated financial support. However, IJM is a non-profit organization that depends on donations. General gifts to IJM may be made through www.ijm.org/give. Contact the Barnabas Group leaders for other ways to offer financial and prayer support.
