The Royal Order Of Red Suspenders (RORS)
A ministry of Salem Alliance Church that provides seasoned, cut, split firewood delivered for free to those in need. RORS accepts donations of wood from the community.  When excess wood stores allow, RORS sells firewood with the proceeds going to fund the ministry.

  • Need Firewood: As of October 1, 2017, RORS is open and will receive requests for firewood from those in need for heating their homes.  You may send an email by clicking the button below, or leave a voicemail message on the RORS wood line at 503-581-2129 X325.  When leaving a message at either location, please leave your name, phone number, physical address for wood delivery, and email address if you have one.  Thank you!

  • Donate Wood to RORS:   As of 10/1/17, RORS may be able to accept smaller (1-2 trees) donations of wood.  We only accept donations of trees that are already down, and only these 3 types: Douglas fir, oak, and maple.  When emailing us (click the button below) please provide your name, phone number, physical address where the wood is located, and email address if you have one.  Please also let us know the approximate amount, type of wood, and how accessible it is to pick up with a truck (front yard, back yard, behind a fence, etc..) Thank you!

Purchase Firewood:  As of 10/1/17, We are currently not selling firewood, saving our stores of dry, seasoned wood for those in need.  When we have an excess of dry, seasoned wood again we will change this message.  Until then, please know that we will not respond to requests sent through the purchase button below.

Storage Unit Ministry Team
Our Storage Unit Ministry Team is on hiatus as we gather new volunteers and re-build this ministry.  We hope to be operational again in January of 2018.  During this hiatus, we are not maintaining the phone message line listed below.  You may email Melanie at if you have questions.

Storage Unit Ministry delivers gently used household items to individuals and families who are making a "fresh start" in life and need some help putting a home together.

  • Did you just move into a place and are in need of some basic household items and/or furniture to get started?
  • Are these items ones that you can't afford to purchase on your own?

Call 503.581.2129 x241 and leave a message for our volunteer team that will contact you to see if there is a way we can come alongside you in your time of need.

Feed Salem
Feed Salem is a food bank ministry of Salem Alliance Church offering food boxes in the name of Jesus Christ.

Feed Salem began as a city-wide project initiated by 38 churches in the Salem/Keizer area with the purpose of feeding the hungry and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Salem Alliance Church has continued that annual effort to collect and distribute food boxes to area schools and families throughout the city on the third Saturday of each month, from December - May, as long as food supplies last.

When Is It?

  • 3rd Saturday of the month, from Dec - while food supplies last (usually April or May)
  • Open 10:00 am - Noon for food box distribution
  • There will be no distributions from June-November as we gather food from our community.

Where Is It?
