Burkina Faso Deaf Team — More Information
Trip Dates:  February - March 2018
Registration closed:  Friday, March 10, 2017

Team Goals: This team is open to the Deaf Community at Salem Alliance Church, deaf people and interpreters who have experience working with deaf students. The team has been requested by Esther Schaeffer, C&MA missionary to Burkina Faso. This is a follow-up team after previous deaf teams from Salem Alliance who have worked with local Deaf School, National Church and Bible Schools, as well as citywide deaf organizations.  We will be working directly with deaf students and hearing teachers using a Vacation Bible School (VBS) format. We desire to include and train local deaf Burkinabè to use the methods we will share, so that they can continue using these tools with the local deaf community..

Thai Medical Team — More Information
Trip Dates:
December 26, 2017 – January 15, 2018
Team Goals: This team has been requested by Thai national pastors and missionaries who are developing relationships within their communities. One method that they use to do so is to provide needed services such as community development. The national church works alongside the stove team to provide prayer and evangelistic opportunities. Creative individuals capable of designing and producing “Rocket Stove” options for rural Hill Tribe peoples accustomed to heating and cooking over open fires are needed. Patience and teaching skills are also needed for this small group of 3 men who will work in conjunction with a medical team. We will work with Debbie Vik, Salem Alliance International Worker who has worked in Thailand for 30+ years. This team will work in several villages throughout the Hill Tribes areas of rural Thailand.
