These are mission trips where the teams are currently full and in preparation for their trip or for mission trips that have left but are still in progress. While teams are currently full, there are occasional cancellations and some mission trips will be reopened for application in that case.

Cleveland Envision — More Information
Trip Dates: June 24-30, 2017

Team Goals: This team is comprised of individuals who have personal capacity to support on-the-ground workers in providing multi-level "life skills" activities (gardening, English learning, sports camps, VBS, Performing Arts events, parenting, Bible studies, grief and loss counseling) needed to encourage refugees. Cleveland has a rapidly developing refugee population. Nine urban C&MA churches partner to provide services for this population.

 

Ecuador (English) — More Information

Team Goals: This team is comprised of those with the love and desire to work with Ecuadorian children who lack access to the Gospel. We will be working with Robin and Wendy Gutierrez, Salem Alliance International  workers who administrate the only Christian school in this region of Ecuador. The team will assist with an annual VBS conducted primarily in English to reach out to neighborhood children through song, arts, story time and activities. The team will also assist small projects around the school property.

 

Burkina Faso Women's Prayer Team — More Information
Trip Dates: March 23 – April 4, 2017

Team Goals: This team is comprised of widows and other women who have experienced significant loss and trauma in their lives. We will be working directly with national widows in Burkina Faso. We will pray together, encourage each other, form relationships, support the ministry already taking place among them, and offer some additional teaching, both practical and spiritual.

 

Burkina Faso Deaf Team — More Information

Team Goals: This team is open to the Deaf Community at Salem Alliance Church, deaf people and interpreters who have experience working with deaf students. The team has been requested by Esther Schaeffer, C&MA missionary to Burkina Faso. This is a follow-up team after previous deaf teams from Salem Alliance who have worked with local Deaf School, National Church and Bible Schools, as well as citywide deaf organizations.  We will be working directly with deaf students and hearing teachers using a Vacation Bible School (VBS) format. We desire to include and train local deaf Burkinabè to use the methods we will share, so that they can continue using these tools with the local deaf community.. 

 

Spain *College Trip — More Information

Team Goals: This team is comprised of college aged students and their leaders with the love and desire to work with Spanish teens and children. We will be working with long term international workers in Spain. The team will assist with an annual English camp conducted primarily in English to reach out to neighborhood children through song, arts, story time and activities. The team will also assist small projects as needed by the International Workers.

 

Mission Peru *High School Trip — More Information

Team Goals: We are passionate about connecting our students with the kingdom work that international workers are doing around the world. The C&MA (Christian and Missionary Alliance) partners with an organization called Incalink which focuses on the countries of Ecuador, Peru and Colombia. Their mission is to reach the 300 million youth in Latin America with Christ's irresistible love. They do this through discipleship and evangelism, training leaders, connecting people, and compassion ministries.

 

Germany (Life Center) — More Information

Team Goals: This team is comprised of individuals who have personal capacity to support field workers in providing multi-level "life skills"  activities  (cooking, parenting, Bible studies, English language, grief and loss counseling) needed to encourage refugees, and ability to assist Lighthouse Life Center workers in tangible ways. We will pray together, encourage each other, form relationships, support the ministry already taking place there, and offer additional teaching, both practical and spiritual.

 

Thai Stove Team — More Information

December 26, 2017 – January 15, 2018

Team Goals: This team has been requested by Thai national pastors and missionaries who are developing relationships within their communities. One method that they use to do so is to provide needed services such as community development. The national church works alongside the stove team to provide prayer and evangelistic opportunities. Creative individuals capable of designing and producing “Rocket Stove” options for rural Hill Tribe peoples accustomed to heating and cooking over open fires are needed. Patience and teaching skills are also needed for this small group of 3 men who will work in conjunction with a medical team. We will work with Debbie Vik, Salem Alliance International Worker who has worked in Thailand for 30+ years. This team will work in several villages throughout the Hill Tribes areas of rural Thailand.

 

Thai ESL Team — More Information

Team Goals: This team has been requested by Thai national pastors who are developing relationships within their communities. One method that they use to do so is to provide needed services such as ESL teaching. Persons who are outgoing, willing to take direction, speak English clearly are encouraged to apply to teach with this team. We will be working with Debbie Vik, Salem Alliance International Worker who has worked in Thailand for 30+ years. This team will work in two villages served by two different pastors, teaching in the local schools and also assisting with outreach and evangelistic opportunities.
