Parking Update

With the Broadway Project construction, we have lost the parking spaces on the west half of the block on Broadway. Click here for a map of the parking that will be available during construction. As you will see, we will have the rest of our regular parking spaces, as well as the parking behind the Broadway Cinema and the Plasma Center on Sunday mornings. You will be hearing more about our parking plan later this summer. A couple of ways you can help with this is to try to bring only one car per family and remember the Saturday evening services.

Why do we offer so many groups?

Salem Alliance Church believes being connected to a healthy community––a group––is central to every person’s spiritual life.

We are created for community, and people come to church needing more than spiritual encouragement and help. We also come with a need for connection; these needs come from God.

The Godhead is eternally connected as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and we are created in God’s image (Genesis 1:26).

Preschool and Kindergarten Registration

Preschool families, it is time to register your children for fall. Registrations will be available for both Preschool and Kindergarten in the Animal Alley hallway, or you can register online through the Preschool or Grade School sections of the Salem Alliance website: www.salemalliance.org Children already in Grade School do not need to register for fall.

Expansion Fund Contributions

Contributions toward the Expansion Fund for the entire month of June will be directed toward the purchase of a new life center building in Kurdistan. God provided a better building, a better location and a substantially smaller price than they had dreamed of. All praise to Him!

Come check out several great books, recommended by the church staff, that complement our current sermon series, “Fire the Soul,” including Prayer on Fire, Experiencing Prayer with Jesus and books by Andrew Murray—all at discounted prices at Pursuits.

Donations for Ecuador Preschool and Guest House

Robin and Wendy Gutierrez, missionaries with Global Outreach International, administer Emmanuel Christian School in Ecuador. The school is adding a preschool and guest house beginning the 2009-2010 school year. To help with these start-up projects, you could supply office materials, supplies for new preschool classrooms and guest house items. A team from Salem Alliance will be able to deliver these items in July. For a complete list and drop-off location (please do not bring them to the church), contact Julie Scheel at julieascheel@hotmail.com or 503-510-4394. Items will be received until Friday, June 26.
