Recognizing God's Voice

Friday 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Saturday 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Recognizing God’s Voice is a two-day conference, facilitated by Laura Scharer, that draws on concepts from the "nine spiritual temperaments" discussed in the book, “What’s Your God Language?”. This conference offers a chance to explore the unique ways we relate with God and provides participants with new tools and experiences to listen for His voice.

It's a great experience for people who tend to have questions about hearing God's voice, knowing when it's Him, and understanding the types of things He might try to tell us. It offers a fresh confidence and reminder that our experiences with God don't have to fit a certain mold or look a certain way, and provides relief and freedom for those of us who worry that there may be barriers in our life that keep God at a distance.

What to Expect

The conference has three main components which include teaching, discussion and experience. Each day includes teaching on prayer and discernment, printed materials for you and your table to work through together, group discussion, guided prayer experiences, and opportunities to be alone for individual prayer and listening.

Recognizing God's Voice hopes to create an eye-opening and freeing experience, inspiring a new outlook on how and where we listen and look for God. It’s an opportunity to experience spiritual growth in a practical way. Our hope is that you would come away with more tools and less fear when it comes to listening and prayer.

Registration is done individually, but if you would like to be seated at a table with a friend, family member or small group, there is an opportunity to make that request during the registration process. There is a $10 cost, that may be paid at the door (cash or check), that covers the cost of printed materials as well as the provided snacks.
