Refresh is our spring weekend that offers various seminars from a variety of speakers including a brunch on Saturday morning. Held at Broadway Commons in Salem, it is a low-cost opportunity for high-quality teaching and connections with other women.

2017 Theme
Relationships: The Mess & The Beauty
This year our seminars will focus on the idea of healthy relationships. We all long to belong, and while relationships can bring a sense of belonging, they can also bring loneliness and confusion. Our speakers will help us look closer at how we deal with the joy and pain of real relationships, and unpack the mess and the beauty that they bring.

The Friendship Factor
Speaker: Panel Discussion - led by Susan Garlinger

Have you ever noticed how seasons of life and changes we go through impact our friendships? Navigating the seasons can be challenging but also very rewarding. Hear from Susan Garlinger, Lori DeBacker, Morgan Tyler and Heather Prince—all in various stages of life—as they share their experiences, how they’ve applied what they have learned and how they’ve been blessed in friendship.

Missional Relationships
Speaker: Anya Holcomb

As followers of Jesus, we are called to share His Good News with all people…this includes our neighbors, co-workers, friends and family. In this seminar we will explore how God can make Himself known through our everyday relationships as we engage others with grace, boldness and authenticity.   


Relational Wisdom 
Speaker: Karen Jared

When relationships bring challenges, how do I respond in a way that honors God and allows me to live out Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Discover ways to resolve conflicts God's way.

When You Long to Belong

In every stage and at every age we need friendship. But what do we do when those deep, meaningful relationships seem to elude us? Let's explore together how finding freedom in belonging to God helps us find freedom in living this life with others. 

Double Knowledge

How can "knowing myself" give me the motivation to know God? How can "knowing God" give me the courage to know myself?  And what does this "double knowledge" have to do with healthy relationships?  Everything!

Men, Women and Marriage. What Does the Bible Really Say?

In our Christian culture there have been assumptions made about the roles of men and women in marriage, based on what the Bible says. In this seminar we will take a closer look at some of those key Bible passages, unpack some of the assumptions that may not be true and talk about God's heart for men and women in marriage.
